[ARCHIVED] Forest Grove Police Welcome Officer Joey Haynes

Officer Joey Haynes and FGPD Chief Henry Reimann

The Forest Grove Police Department is pleased to welcome Officer Joey Haynes who was sworn in as the newest member of the ranks on July 30.

Officer Haynes is no stranger to the area; the Glencoe High graduate has called Forest Grove and other local communities in Western Washington County home over the years.

Joey began his career in public service in 2017 when he joined the United States Army. After serving four years active duty, Joe served an additional three years with the Oregon Army National Guard before making the step into law enforcement in 2023.

Having already graduated from the Public Safety Academy, Joey will spend the next several weeks getting settled in the Grove while he completes the FGPD’s field training program and prepares to hit the road solo in the coming months.

A dad of two, Joey is looking forward to calling Forest Grove home once again and credits the community's friendly, close-knit feeling as his primary draw to the FGPD.

Welcome to the team, Officer Haynes - we are thrilled to have you on board!
