Aquatic Programs
FGAC provides a variety of aquatic activities across its two pools. Whether you're aiming to stay active, learn how to swim, or simply enjoy some water fun, there’s something for everyone.
Check out the information and schedules below for different activities. Please note that all schedules and fees are subject to change.
Winter/Spring Pool Schedule (January 5 - March 15)
Public Swim
Join us for a splash! Kids under 10 need an adult (16+). Swimsuits required—no cotton or non-swimwear. Swim diapers needed for non-toilet trained guests. Only Coast Guard-approved life jackets allowed; no inflatables or flotation swimwear.

Preschool Swim
A time for adults to swim with their children 5 and under in the Activity Pool. Adults must stay in the water. Swim diapers required for non-toilet trained guests. Only Coast Guard-approved life jackets allowed; no water wings, inflatables, or flotation swimwear. Craft and Swim available on select days. Learn More.

Home School Swim

Sensory Friendly Swim Night
Enjoy pool time and meet other families in a low-sensory environment! Our lights will be dimmed over both pools with noise levels reduced for a serene atmosphere. The adaptive equipment like noodles, flotation belts, and mats will be available. A parent, guardian, or caregiver receives free admission when assisting a swimmer in the water.

Fitness activities only, like lap swim or water walking. No playtime for children. Space may be shared with lessons or classes. Lanes are first-come, first-served. Follow lap swim etiquette. Kickboards, pull buoys, and exercise equipment available.

Know Before You Go
- The Main Indoor Pool is 25 yard in length. Water temperature is approximately 83° F.
- Kick boards and pull buoys available on pool deck.
- Circle swimming is required with three or more swimmers in a lane.
- Children 13 and under who have passed the Deep Water Swim Test are permitted to swim laps. Call for more information.
- All schedules are subject to change.
Find the right class for you and participate at your own pace. We accept Silver & Fit, Silver Sneakers, and Onepass (Renew Active) Senior Insurance programs. Personal assistants admitted at no cost.

FGAC is dedicated to offering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone interested in learning swimming and water safety skills. Our swim lesson program aims to build a community that is confident and safe in and around water while encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle.

Know Before You Go
- Spectators are required to remain in designated spectator areas during class time.
- Children under age 10 must have an adult accompany them in the building at all times.
- Participants may enter the water only when given permission by their instructor.
- Proper swimwear must be worn when using any of the pools at FGAC. Cotton-based clothing, water wings, and non-Coast Guard approved life jackets are not permitted.
- Children with long hair are encouraged to pull their hair back or use a swim cap.
- Children under age 5 are permitted in opposite gender locker rooms.
- Family Changing Rooms are in high demand. Please be considerate to other families waiting to use a room and dress quickly.
- Only authorized personnel are permitted to conduct instruction or personal training.
Youth Water Polo is offered at FGAC for youth ages 8 to 13 years old. Designed for beginning and intermediate players, participants will learn the basics through team oriented activities. Practice takes place in the shallow end of the main pool. You can find this class offering under Aquatics- Specialty in CivicRec.

Appropriate Swimming Attire
- All persons using the pools and spa must wear a swimsuit.
- Guests using the pools and spa must wear a swimsuit or non-cotton based clothing. Cotton T-shirts, shorts, cut-offs, tank tops, and undergarments are not allowed in the pools or spa.
- Guests who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper covered by a water-proof, leak-proof diaper cover or a swim suit with a liner.
- Only Coast Guard Approved life jackets are allowed as flotation devices.
- Water wings, inflatable tubes, or swimsuits with integrated flotation devices (whether sewn in or not) and similar devices are not allowed in the pools.
