Residential Energy Rebates Program
Forest Grove Light & Power offers a series of rebates to help residential customers save electricity and resources.
Eligibility: All Forest Grove Light & Power single and multi-family residential customers with permanently installed electric heat are eligible. The City of Forest Grove Light & Power offers cash incentives for the installation of pre-approved, cost-effective energy-saving measures, as indicated in the supporting documents below. Residential energy audits are provided for customers who wish to install eligible energy-saving measures in homes. Forest Grove Light & Power reserves the right to inspect and verify all installed measures after completion.
*Incentives for manufactured homes may differ from incentives for site-built homes. The incentive payment by the City of Forest Grove cannot exceed the total cost of the energy-saving measure.
- ENERGY STAR Clothes Washer Appliance Rebate Application
- Clothes washers must be ENERGY STAR qualified. Top loaders must have a minimum IMEF of 2.38. Qualified clothes washers are eligible for a rebate up to $125. For a list of qualifying washers,
- ENERGY STAR Clothes Dryer Appliance Rebate Application
- Clothes dryers must be electric and ENERGY STAR qualified. Qualified clothes dryers are eligible for a rebate of up to $125.
- Heat Pump Water Heater Heat Pump Hot Water Heater Application
- Heat Pump Water Heaters are at least twice as efficient as a standard electric-resistance water heater. To learn more information on how they work and how they can reduce electricity consumption, prior to making a purchase. Qualified Heat Pump Water Heaters are eligible for a rebate of $1400-$2200, depending on the type and capacity.
- Smart Thermostats Smart Thermostat Rebate Application
- Smart thermostats save energy automatically, providing you the added convenience of letting you control your heating and A/C from your smartphone. If you qualify, you may receive a rebate of up to $165, not to exceed the cost of the thermostat and/or its installation. To qualify, all thermostats in the home must be replaced. - Ductless Heat Pumps Residential Ductless Heat Pump Rebate Application
- DHP / Ducted mini split system. Must be replacing an electric forced-air furnace or zonal heating system. If you add a qualified unit, the rebate is $920
- Air Source Heat Pump Conversion. Must be replacing an electric forced-air furnace. If you add a qualified unit, the rebate is $1,250
- Variable Speed Heat Pump Conversion. Must be replacing an electric forced-air furnace. If you add a qualifying unit, the rebate is $1,560
- Variable Speed Air Source Heat Pump Upgrade. Must be upgrading your ducted heat pump, DHP, Mini Split, Zonal, Wood, Oil, Propane, Gas, or non-existent heat. If you add a qualifying unit, the rebate is $600
- Centrally Ducted Air Conditioners. Eligible if the home contains central ductwork. If you add a qualifying unit, the rebate is $60
- Residential Packaged Terminal Heat Pump (PTHP's). Must be conditioned by PTAC or replacing zonal heat. If you add a qualifying unit, the rebate is $200
- Eligibility: All Forest Grove Light & Power residential customers living in single-family homes who add QUALIFYING UNITS and PROVIDE ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION.

Residential Ductless Heat Pump Application
- ENERGY STAR Exterior Insulated Doors Insulated Exterior Door Rebate Application
- The current rebate is $40 per qualifying door. Inspection, Energy Star labels, and receipts are required documentation for eligibility.
- Prime Window & Patio Door Replacement Window Rebate Application
- The current rebate is $8 - $20 per square foot for newly installed qualifying windows. Please refer to the application for details.
- Insulation Insulation Rebate Application
- The insulation rebate is between $0.60 and $2.60 per square foot, depending on our current insulation level. Rebates not to exceed the cost of material and installation. For more information on home weatherization.
