The Forest Grove Planning Commission (PC) was established in 1946 by City Council.
The Planning Commission, Code § 35.045-35.054, participates in the development of community plans; holds hearings; interprets state and local laws and codes related to community development plans for regulations for future growth.
The PC is comprised of seven members. Two members may reside outside city limits. No more than two members shall be engaged in the same occupation, business, trade or profession.
The Planning Commissioners are required to file an annual Statement of Economic Interest (SEI) with the Oregon Government Ethics Commission Electronic Filing System in March of each year (ORS 244). SEI filers are required to file if they are seated and hold their position on April 15th of any given year. Need assistance with completing a SEI? During the filing period, failure to complete and electronically file by the final filing date is subject to an automatic civil penalty of $10 for each of the first 14 days the SEI is late and $50 for each day thereafter, up to a maximum of $5,000 [ORS 244.350(4)(c)].
